Purpose Tolvaptan exerts an aquaretic effect by blocking vasopressin V2 receptor. Although tolvaptan ameliorates body fluid retention even in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), predictors of body fluid reduction induced by tolvaptan remain unclear.
