We examined the changes in skin temperature before and after application of heat to abdominal regions of healthy volunteers. Eight healthy female subjects with no past history of disease were selected for this study. Time-dependent changes in skin temperature of the abdominal region were measured after 10, 20, and 30 min of heat stimulation using a digital infrared thermographic imaging device.
