Correlates with Low Morning Cortisol Increase. JEPonline 2014; 17 (3): 70-76. The purpose of this study was to characterize how the stress system (ie, the morning cortisol increase) is related to weight reduction by exercise in obesity. Twelve subjects with a body mass index> 35 participated in a 22-wk exercise intervention program.
